What is in the Rumor Mill (updated Sept 24th 2008)
We are growing so I thought it would be nice to send out updates to what is happening in the Maryland Line. This page is intended to contain news about our club that does not fit on the other pages. I will post pictures and information as long as I can verify it to be correct.

1. Looks like Major Eckert had a name change at McIver. No longer will we know him as Crash but now he is Major Jerry Atrick.
2. Lt Turpin has decided to retire and Ron Rogers has agreed to step up to the position. Thank you Ed for all the years as Sgt and then Lt. You created a great detachment.
3. Capt. Meeker also has decided to step down after many years of leadership. He is risen through the ranks from Cpl to Capt and is the 1st member of the Md Line to have been elected to ALL the possible ranks in our club. Your friendly webmaster and Col Warrick have held all positions except Lt which did not exist four years ago. Bruce gets to join the ranks as private next year.
4. Ask some of our ladies about their current project which has been in the works for more than a year.. Thank you Trish, Kathy and Mary for creating this project.

unit won the drill competition at
6. The
Cav detachment received mounts at Willamette
Mission. Trp
Levie flunked the mounted test as he could not control his horse and was thrown
a few times. Col Stanovich
just shook his head when he saw us lining up for morning parade.
